It's possible — a pre-authorisation reduces your available balance even though it's not a final charge, so if your account balance is close to zero or your overdraft limit, the hold may take you over. We'd recommend leaving headroom of at least £50 before starting a session, or use the evyve app where pre-auth amounts can be smaller.
